Job Description:
Working under the supervision of the Site Engineer and Lead Technician, the position involves development of site systems documentation and analysis of wind turbine performance data and wind data.   The candidate will continue work on reporting results from ongoing wind turbine performance test program.  In addition, the candidate will analyze and reduce wind data and wind turbine parameter data using Excel spreadsheet functions to develop performance reports of on site turbines.  The position may also involve general work around the wind turbines and other test systems on site.
 
The candidate will continue work on reporting results from ongoing small wind turbine performance test program.  The data provided from this testing, assists manufacturers of small wind systems that are seeking to enter the North American market.
 
WEICan will be building a 10 MW wind farm, which is scheduled for completion Fall 2011.  The candidate may be asked to work on the planning, evaluation and execution of this work.
 
The candidate will have an interest in wind and other renewable energy systems, have a working knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD software and drafting principals, have strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to work independently.
 
Student must have own safety boots. Accomodations are available on site for $10/day.
