♦ news release - March 6, 2013The Wind Energy Institute of Canada (WEICan) collaborates on Wind Energy Strategic Network (WESNet) Project....more details♦ WESNet mandate extended to march 31, 2014.With its highly productive research program, WESNet has received approval for an extension of the Network by one year to March 31st, 2014 under existing funding. The extension will allow WESNet, building on its significant achievements in technology development, research collaboration and HQP training, to focus on moving forward the developed wind energy technologies into the next level of dissemination and transfer to industry, and to prepare for the next 5-year R&D mandate of the Network.♦ commissioning of wesnet demonstration small wind turbine.WESNet demonstration 10kW small wind turbine was installed and commissioned at WEICan July 3rd 2012.This WESNet demonstration project is funded under the NSERC Strategic Network Enhancement Initiative for development, demonstration and evaluation of a complete small wind turbine (10kW) by integrating the innovative technologies developed by WESNet for subsequent technology transfer.
