WEICan, successful proponent of a recently announced Clean Energy Fund announcement for A 9 MW Wind Technology Research and Development Park


The 9 MW wind park proposed will be the first wind/storage combination in Prince Edward Island. The project's research base has a strong focus on information dissemination, and would be a good base for supporting additional wind research.

As a key collaborator and partner in the project, WESNet is expected to benefit with availability to infrastructure providing opportunity to perform research on storage and gird integration issues as well as access to data from an operational wind farm for resource assessment and forecasting.
